Support

Nami is made by one person. Email mz.mzurek@gmail.com and you’ll get a reply from him, usually within a day or two.

Bugs, a reply that made no sense, a word Nami glossed wrong, a feature you want — all welcome, all read. If you’re reporting a bug, saying what you did just before it happened is worth more than a screenshot.

Common questions

How do I get in?

Nami is in closed beta on TestFlight. Ask for the link on the home page or by email, and you’ll get an invite. It’s free during the beta.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. It happens immediately and permanently — your chats, saved words, voice recordings, to-dos and progress are all erased, and there is no way back. Details are in the privacy policy.

Can I delete just one thing?

Yes. Chats, saved words, and any individual note Nami has taken about you can be deleted on their own, without touching the rest of your account.

Which languages does it speak?

Nami currently works in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian, and translates into whichever of those you pick. It’s built for learners who can already function in the language — roughly B1 and up — rather than absolute beginners.

Nami got something wrong

It will. Nami is powered by AI models and can be confidently wrong about facts, grammar, and occasionally both. Don’t rely on it for anything that matters — medical, legal, financial. If a correction it gave you was wrong, please send it to me; that’s the most useful bug report there is.

Something is broken / the app won’t load

Nami needs a network connection to reply. If it hangs, force-quit and reopen it first. If that doesn’t help, email me with your iOS version and roughly when it happened and I’ll look at the logs.
